Well another year has gone by and what a year it has been.
Some things never change – leadership campaigns still lack bold ideas based on sound principles, English Bay has wonderful sunsets, the US has decided a loose cannon makes a great leader and I have more grey hair each year. (Despite my hair stylist says cutting it short does not make it go away. But we both like the line.)
What I always love about my birthday is that I share it with my father. What a great gift that connection and shared celebration has been in my life. Next year will be 80 for him, amazing!
A number of big things over the past year. My son started entered grade 8 is a big one plus I now get to use my Canadian History degree while being an entrepreneur to build a better Canada. Who knew that would happen? Not me!
Earlier this year sold half my company to forge a new corporate vision. Building a new investment driven company is always a challenge but when you can put some purpose behind your profits, it brings new meaning to triple bottom line.
Watch out 47, this year is going to be another one for the record books.
